Charlotte disc golfers pitch in to fight hunger

One of my favorite things to do outdoors is play disc
golf. What is disc golf you say? Wikipedia defines disc golf
as “a sport in which individual players or teams throw a flying disc into a
basket or other target.”

Basically, it’s golf with a frisbee replacing the ball. It’s a great inexpensive way to spend some
time outdoors with your friends. The
only costs involved are your discs ($10 – 15 each) and the gas it takes to get

is very fortunate in that it has a bunch of courses to play on.

But back to why I am writing this post – The Charlotte Disc Golf Club is
participating in IceBowl 2007 – a world-wide fundraising disc golf event to
fight hunger. The Charlotte event will be held on Feb. 13, 17,
and 18. More information on how you
participate and/or donate is available here.
